Over the past couple of weeks, fall produce has found its way into my garden. With Labor Day behind us, the school year in full swing and those boots and sweaters pulled out from the back of the closet, we transition into the new season. Even though the persistent high temperatures here read summer, the garden, like most of us, was ready for a fall swap out.
Here’s what fall planting looks like in my garden:
From seedlings: broccoli rabe, broccolini, Cheddar Cauliflower (orange head), Graffiti Cauliflower (purple head), Swiss Chard, sugar snap peas, snow peas, Kentucky Wonder Beans, Blankoma White Beets, golden beets, parsley, cilantro, radicchio, Fire Cracker Red Leaf Lettuce, spinach, romaine, and Buttercrunch Lettuce.
From seed: wild arugula, carrots, radishes and Lacinato Dinosaur Kale.

Here, I made some room between the San Marzano Tomatoes and Shiso Leaves for spinach and kale seeds.
