July 9, 2013
This year for the 4th (yes, I know it’s the 9th, but I’m a classic procrastinator) I didn’t host a party, which was a first. My friend Justine took the baton and boy did she run with it. I love this holiday because it’s such a fun and casual way to bring family and country to the forefront.
We always start the day by attending our local parade. It’s straight out of a Norman Rockwell scene, don’t blink or you might miss it! God Bless, the Gap. I tried to find this outfit in my size.
Justine, the party hostess, never fails to color coordinate her cocktails with the holiday. Yes, that is the Watermelon Margarita she’s sipping.
Such a treat that Clark from Full of Life Flatbread was slinging pizzas non-stop. Keep ’em coming, Clark! I swear I ate my weight in pepperoni and peppers.
Elizabeth treated us to homemade s’mores baked in the wood fire oven.
