Tuesday Tool: Circle Cutter Set
Ovals, diamonds and flowers…oh my! These Ateco cutter sets come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. I have the “vanilla” of the group — circles, but I use them all the time. I appreciate that they’re all corralled in a handy tin case so you don’t have to go looking for the rogue mini one in some random drawer. The circle collection has a size range spanning ¾”- 4 ½” in diameter and unlike my last set they don’t rust.
Beyond the obvious uses of cutting circles of cookie and cracker dough, I also use them to stamp out sandwiches (soup recipe here) for lunches, create mini cakes, and make circles of French toast. Oh, and I use them for making hand pies, to cut out Chinese wontons, ravioli and for spooning in quinoa, tuna tartar or rice to make nice little circles for plating.
With a great price point and free shipping on Amazon, they would make a great hostess gift for foodie friends. It’s one of those little tools that I didn’t even know I needed until it ended up in my kitchen and now I reach for them all the time.
