I was lucky enough to get an advanced copy of this large-format exposé on one of my greatest obsessions. Flowers is the latest book from Carolyne Roehm. I have every other one of her books, and I’m excited to be adding this beauty to my collection; it does not disappoint.
Carolyne’s style has a traditional foundation and it always is inspiring to see how she transforms her garden blooms into gorgeous bouquets and table décor. Chapters are arranged by flower type, which gives great insight into the variety of each category. All the flowers are labeled, making it a great resource. So, if you find one (or eight, or eighteen…) flowers that tickle your fancy you can track them down to add to your garden.
For those passionate about flowers, this book is non-stop inspiration, every page infused with Carolyne’s signature style. Heading into the holiday season I can’t think of a nicer gift for a fellow flower aficionado. It’s a little pricey, but such a beautiful coffee table book is destined to stay at the top of the stack.
Flowers will be available on November 6, 2012 at all major book retailers, online as well as in stores. However, if you pre-order on Amazon before then, it’s $50 over the regular retail price of $85.
