As we head into the holidays, one thing that you can have in your cooking arsenal is to start the season off with sharp knives. This will help you cut into those pumpkins better, dice your potatoes faster, and make sure that your final presentation looks great, instead of as if Freddy Krueger hacked in with his chainsaw.
I use Global knives, which you can purchase at Amazon or Williams Sonoma, and my sharpener of choice is this one from Chef’s Choice, available at Amazon or Bed Bath & Beyond. This electric sharpener is great because the angle is already set, so you just pull the knife through the sharpener and voilà, you’re ready to cut.
