I’m not sure why, but I have a really hard time letting go of condiments in the back of my fridge. Is it possible to have an over-commitment issue? I forced myself to go through them the other day, doing the untwist and smell test. This one mustard jar in particular was practically begging to be re-used as a vase and I confess, the mustard was at least a year past its prime.
When up-cycling jars, look for ones that have a narrower head than their body, which makes for a more compact, pretty arrangement. There are so many great containers out there from jelly jars to pickle bottles. It’s so easy to make beautiful little bouquets without traditional vases, so look around your fridge or pantry and be creative!
