I love roses … the sight of them in my garden, arranging them into beautiful bouquets, the fragrance unique to each type of bloom. When I returned from NYC recently an entire wall of Golden Celebrations awaited me. What a joy!
I planted them on my trellis only last year and look how prolific they are! They’re budding on both sides of the trellis in such force that it literally took my breath away. In his book “The English Roses: Classic Favorites & New Selections,” David Austin describes Golden Celebration roses as “… perhaps the most magnificent of the English Roses … fragrance is strong—tea-scented at first, later developing hints of Sauternes wine and strawberry.” In my opinion, a perfect fit for this wine-loving gardener.
