There is a fluttering flurry of butterflies at our local Museum of Natural History. With school out and a lot of time on our hands, the girls and I packed up our lunches to picnic at the museum’s beautiful butterfly garden.
We had so much fun playing “spot the butterfly”

The girls spent all day trying to lure the butterflies to land on their hands.

Butterflies Alive! runs at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History until September 11. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend it. It’s something fun and educational to do with the kids, and afterward, you might even be inspired to create your own butterfly garden…
